Beacon Hill U14 3 - 0 Galleywood Hawks
The 14s, having lost their first game of the season, were up against a side who have tasted defeat just once since Feb 2022. Despite the impressive record and significant height advantage, the boys were not intimidated. Instead, they produced their best performance.

A single goal for Ben Large wasn't all they had to show for a dominant first half. They also came away with huge confidence in how they played. They matched their opposition physically, battled for every ball and played the majority of the game in their half.

The second half was a slightly different story with an early goal due. The excellent Luco Webb pressed the Hawks' defence into a mistake, forcing the ball over the line. After that, it was one-way traffic and some of the best football we've played. Callum Webb scored the third, firing through the keeper following more pressing. The crossbar, the keeper and a few excellent blocks kept the score at 3 when in truth, it could have been 6 or 7.

When one of the opposition coaches says: "No one has ever done that to us", you know you've played well. Everyone played well but there has to be a special mention to Wolfie Caplan, who produced a brilliant display to nullify the Hawks threat, supported by the impressive Will Booty and Alfie Roulston-Baker.

Beacon Hill Rovers U12 Girls 5-2 New Level Soccer
Beacon Hill Rovers U12 Girls faced New Level Soccer in a highly anticipated clash, with the visitors playing their first season in the league. The game kicked off with Beacon Hill dominating possession and creating several great chances in the first half. Despite their early pressure, they were unable to convert and found themselves trailing 1-0 after New Level Soccer capitalized on a set piece.

Beacon Hill continued to battle and managed to draw level before New Level Soccer struck again from another set piece, leaving Beacon Hill with a 2-2 scoreline going into halftime.

Following a motivating team talk from manager Chris Whiskin, Beacon Hill came out strong in the second half, quickly turning up the tempo. They soon found themselves ahead and maintained control of the game from there. A series of well-worked team moves led to a further three goals, sealing a well-deserved 5-2 victory.

It was a brilliant all-round performance, with four different scorers contributing to the tally.
