Beacon Hill U16s 5 - 4 Wilvale
Nine goals to add to the 10 from last season's fixture! This time though, we were always in charge of the match.

Birthday boy Ethan opened the scoring within 2 minutes. Fin soon put us two up, hooking in from a corner. The boys did concede from a good Wilvale move but the boys showed excellent composure and were rewarded with a second goal for Ethan from Fin's cross, no shot...definitely a shot.

Into the second half and while the lads started well again, they were punished by two balls over the top, the second a brilliant lob over Jake by John.....just into his own net.

But George, who was having an outstanding game, scored a quick-fire brace from good, fast counter-attacks. He then came close to a hattrick with a sweet free kick that was well kept ut by their keeper, who then somehow managed to block Henry's point blank follow up.

A late counter from Wilvale got them to within 1 and a very finish but the lads defended well to see the game out and pick up their first 3 points of the season.

Special mention to Evan, who played superbly, and John, who made an amazing clearance off the line.

Galleywood U14s 5 - 2 Beacon Hill U14s
The unbeaten start to the season is over. Despite playing the better football, they struggled to come to terms with the physical advantage of Galleywood. Consolation goals for Ben Large and Alfie Murphy.

Tendring Borough Tornadoes 2 -5 Beacon Hill Girls u12’s
The girls, keen to continue a good start to the season, went at Tendring from minute one, pressing high to win possession and then quickly looking for passing options.
This paid dividends straight away with Tendring conceding an early corner. Lily-Dee put in an excellent ball which ricocheted in the penalty area before Megan Rose dispatched a half-volley.
0-1 quickly became 0-2 after three minutes with Adeline winning possession in midfield before setting Georgina away down the right-hand-side, her shot from the edge of the box superbly beating the keeper on its way into the top corner. Beacons high tempo bore fruit again after 15 mins when Adeline’s through ball found Erin W, her strength and pace allowing her to hold off the defender before finishing low to the keepers right.

The girls continued to push and were unlucky not to add to the score until the 25th minute, Tendring failing to clear their lines and Elizabeth swooping in to drill home from the edge of the box.
This had been a total team performance in all positions and the girls were unlucky to concede when a Tendring corner took a flick off a Beacon player.
A solid team defensive display in the second half laid the foundations for Beacon to keep control of the game and eventually score a fifth when Erin W stole in to win possession on the right flank before driving into the box, despite seeing her initial shot saved, she was on hand to put away the rebound.
The girls then worked hard to see out the game and only conceded a second in the 6th minute of added time.
